Deep Vein Thrombosis

What is Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)?

According to Debra Wood, RN, Deep Vein Thrombosis is a condition where blood and clotting agents gather to form an obstruction within a vein deep inside the body. This usually happens in the legs, but it is possible for the blood clot to form in other areas of the body.
