Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are activities that an individual typically performs on a regular bases. Examples include walking, moving, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) are more complex and more specific. Examples include transportation, shopping, managing finances, household chores, and communicating.
