Searching for DVDs and Streaming Media

Our selection of DVDs is not extensive due to the increasingly prohibitive costs charged to higher education institutions for educational media products. However, you may search what we do have in our DVD collection by using our Online Catalog. You can limit your search to media items by selecting "Media / Streaming" under the Resource Type option.

Not finding the DVD or video you need?

If TWU does not own or have access to the DVD, video, or online streaming content you need, here are some options you might try:

1. Contact the University of North Texas Media Library. As a TWU student, staff, or faculty member, they will extend limited privileges to you for viewing DVDs and videos at their library. However, they may not give you access to their online streaming content -- ask them for details.

2. Contact your local area public library. Some public libraries have large media collections where you may find the DVDs or videos you need.

3. Search proprietary websites such as NetflixYouTube Movies, Hulu Movies, and Blockbuster. DVDs and online streaming content from these businesses are not free, but you might be able to view what you are looking for at a low cost.

Please be aware that our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) department is unable to obtain media items from other libraries.
