The 7th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) assists the writer in complying with a standardized format for expressing ideas, crediting sources, and listing reference materials. The 7th APA Manual is the official guide to APA style for 2020 and has been published in some form since 1929 (Manual, xv). The APA Style website at https://apastyle.apa.org provides detailed rules and changes implemented since the 6th edition of the Manual.
