Therapy Dogs Visit Houston

 Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs of Houston visited TWU Houston 29 November. In our TWU Houston lobby, here are TWU students greeting Willa, a  Mi-Ki breed certified therapy dog . Doty Olson, Willa's owner/trainer,  greet faculty, staff, and students.. All get the opportunity to learn about the purpose and value of therapy dogs in health care, including helping military veterans with PTSD, amputees, those with Alzheimer's disease, prisoners and others. The visit was co-sponsored by Houston's office of Student Life and the Houston Library.

The Houston Library, room 4132,  has a wonderful nap pod where you can enjoy a refreshing 20 minute snooze, so come give it a try and stop feeling so tired!

Welcome to the TWU Libraries' Nursing Subject Guide! Here you will find a variety of suggested databases, credible internet sites, videos, and other information sources to help guide your research. Houston campus faculty, staff and students may obtain borrowing privileges to the Texas Medical Center Library and other libraries by applying in our Houston Library, room 4132. Remember your TWU Librarians. For TWU Students, appointments with Librarians are available to help you learn information resources and how to locate good information tools to be self-sufficient in the future. For Faculty and Staff, TWU Librarians provide the information needed.

Graduate Nursing Library Research Guide

Houston Center Library Materials

The Houston Center Library Room 4132 (at the Houston campus) has books from TWU's School of Business, Department of Health Care Administration, School of Nursing, Department of Nutrition & Food Sciences, School of Occupational Therapy and the School of Physical Therapy, also.  Available for Houston TWU faculty, staff, and students to consult in the library, all of these materials (books, audiovisuals and journals) are specially selected and added to the collection by your faculty and staff. There is a pc/scanner available to print in b&w or color at the adjacent Mega Computer Lab. The Library also has Laptops and Chromebooks  for checkout.  Most of these materials are available to you to check out during hours of operation,  so come browse the different collections and see what the Houston library has to offer you.

Please know that "Textbooks, reference, non-circulating, media materials, and Houston Reserve Items may not be requested through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)."
