Regional Resources and Organizations

  • Texas Society for Advancement of Health Professions (TSAHP)
    Professional organization dedicated to enhancing and promoting education, research, and clinical practice of allied health professionals within the state. TSAHP provides a vital forum in which allied health educators and practitioners can address and act on mutual concerns. (Individual or institutional membership required)

 

National IPE/IPCP Organizations

  • American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC)
    Professional community of the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education consisting of individuals who advance interprofessional education and collaborative practice to improve health outcomes and health equity. (Individual membership required)
  • Health Professions Accreditors Collaborative (HPAC)
    Cooperative forum for health professionals to ensure that accreditors’ standards, policies and procedures support and prepare graduates for contemporary practice as part of interprofessional teams. (Individual or organizational membership required)
  • One Health (CDC)
    One Health is a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary approach — working at the local, regional, national, and global levels — with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.

 

International IPE/IPCP Organizations

  • African Interprofessional Education Network
    Consensus-based partnership between various institutions and individuals with the vision to establish interprofessional education and collaborative practice as integral part in training the health workforce and in the effective functioning of systems for health in Sub-Saharan Africa; the primary goal is to advocate for, collaborate on, promote and share good practice of IPE in Sub-Saharan Africa. (Individual or Institutional membership required)

  • Center for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education (CAIPE)
    UK organization that serves as a ‘think-tank’ working together to promote and develop the health and wellbeing of communities through interprofessional education, collaborative practice, and related research facilitating the development of a purposeful workplace. (Individual or organizational membership required)

  • European Interprofessional Practice & Education Network (EIPEN)
    Produces tools and publications that underpin interprofessional practice, stimulates and shares effective interprofessional training in European higher education in order to improve collaborative health practice and help optimize the quality of care and the quality of life of patients/clients. (Institutional membership required)

  • Global Forum on Innovation in Health Professional Education
    Ongoing, convening activity of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine that brings together diverse stakeholders to network, discuss and illuminate issues for the benefit and promotion of health professional education.

  • Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC)
    Promote, encourages and supports efforts to prepare future health professionals so that they enter the workforce ready for interprofessional collaborative practice that helps to ensure the health of individuals and populations. (Organizational membership required)

  • Interprofessional Global
    Facilitates support and exchange between regional interprofessional education and collaborative practice networks, establishes relationships with other like-minded organizations, and welcomes and supports new networks sharing the same aims and values. (Individual or organizational membership required)

  • InterprofessionalResearch.Global (IPR)
    Promotes and advocates for evidence-informed policies and practices through fostering and facilitating theory-driven, methodologically rigorous IPECP research. (Individual, institutional, or organizational membership required)

  • Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)
    Applies improvement methods originally used in the manufacturing to build improvement capability by providing people with methods and tools to make healthcare better. (Individual membership required)
