Disability Accommodations

Information for Patrons with Disabilities

Student Employees

See one of our student employees, who are easily identifiable in maroon TWU Library vests. They can help you if you have questions or need assistance with printing, retrieving books from the stacks, or other tasks.

Information Desk

Visit the Information Desk on the first floor. We can identify the exact range in which your book is located. We can assist with simple reference questions or retrieve a librarian who can offer more detailed assistance.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available behind the library, and patrons can enter using the buzzer at our back (dock) door.  Please let us know if you need help entering the building and a staff member will assist you. From this ground floor entrance, patrons can access the elevators located just inside the back door (down the hallway to your right).

* Please note: the only automatic entrance to the building is located at the front of the library.

Public Transportation

For public transportation users, Route 5 DCTA buses stop in two places on Bell Avenue: just south of the intersection of Bell Ave. and Administration Dr. and just north of the intersection of Bell Ave. and Chapel Dr.

For more information, visit the DCTA website:
