Borrowing Technology

Items from our Reserve Collection, including Reserve textbooks and any technology equipment listed here are only available for currently enrolled students and active TWU faculty and staff members.

Borrowing Laptops

TWU students, staff and faculty at our Denton campus may check out Windows Laptops from the laptop kiosk located near our first-floor printers. A limited number of Windows laptops, as well as Chromebooks, are also available for short-term and long-term checkout from the main library Information Desks on the Dallas, Denton, and Houston campuses.

For short-term, library-owned laptop checkouts users may borrow the item for up to eight hours. In Dallas and Houston Laptops cannot be renewed. In Denton, laptops can be renewed one time for an additional eight hours or until the library closes (whichever comes first).

For long-term, library-owned laptop checkouts users may borrow the item for up to an entire semester, and each borrowing patron will receive a mouse, charger, and laptop bag with their checkout. Renewals for these items may be filled at the discretion of Library Administration. For more information and to request a long-term laptop, please see this form: TWU Libraries Long-Term Equipment Request.

Do not leave any borrowed laptops unattended.

Borrowing Hotspots

Hotspots are available for long-term checkout on all three campuses. For more information and to request a long-term hotspot, please see this form: TWU Libraries Long-Term Equipment Request.
