Finding Great Information
TWU libraries at www.twu.edu/library has great business resources for you when you click 'Research' on the left of the page. Scroll down and search on Business and Business - Houston to find great information.
Find Great Articles inside the Academic Search database by putting in terms like business plan limited partnership, then narrow down to full text and the last five years, again on the left of the screen.
Write Great Papers by comparing what articles say about similar topics. Read critically to notice what is missing; did they poll older and younger customers or just one age group? Write about the differences and similarities and back up your thoughts by paraphrasing and citing the authors.
Follow Perfect Citation Style using APA 7th or other style and your RefWorks account to get the process started but check those Digital Object Identifiers closely so you will be communicating clearly.'
The Academic Resource Center (ARC) Room 4132 (at the Houston campus) has books from TWU's School of Business, Department of Health Care Administration, School of Nursing, Department of Nutrition & Food Sciences, School of Occupational Therapy and the School of Physical Therapy, also. Available for Houston TWU faculty, staff, and students to consult in the ARC, all of these materials (books, audiovisuals and journals) are specially selected and added to the collection by your faculty and staff. Most of these materials are available to you to check out during hours of operation, so come browse the different collections and see what the ARC has to offer you.
Please know that "Textbooks, reference, non-circulating, media materials, and Houston Reserve Items may not be requested through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)."
Look forward to try out the nap pod in the Houston ARC for a 20 minute power nap!
On Monday 2 December, over 100 TWU faculty, staff, students and a few visitors came to meet Doodle and Liam, members of Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs of Houston who visited our TWU Houston lobby. These certified therapy dogs and their owner/trainers helped Business and Health Sciences students learn about therapy dogs and how they help military veterans and others with PTSD, assist amputees, assist the hospitalized and other institutionalized. The visit was co-sponsored by the Student Life Houston office and the Houston Academic Resource Center.
