Achieve Rubric Information (PDF) ⭐

  • Information and basic rubric on evaluating OER objects -- images, lessons, units, tests/assessments, videos, etc. 

Achieve Rubric (Google Sheet) ⭐

  • Google Sheet that you can download a copy of and use to score OER objects and materials. Instructors may have to pull some verbiage from the Achieve Rubric Information PDF for Rubrics 3 and 6 if they decide to use them.

  • Checklist to help determine if materials are equity-orientated.

  • Checklist for determining the accessibility of OER materials, as well as courses in general.

CUNY Academic Commons ⭐

  • The CUNY Academic Commons, where the CUNY colleges upload their courses. Search is filtered by OER. 

Digital Commons Network 

  • Curated network of free, full-text scholarly articles across all disciplines. 

Milne Open Textbooks ⭐

  • Open textbook catalog managed by SUNY Geneseo; contains peer-reviewed texts.

OAPEN ⭐

  • European publishing open access academic books. Browse by subject, language, publisher, or collection. 

Open Book Publishers 

  • Various texts across all disciplines. A good place to start for a general search. 

Open Course Library

  • Repository of open source materials for courses. Organized by class. Good starting point, but it was published in 2012 and 2013, so learning towards dated. 

Open Education Alberta

  • Large textbook catalog; some library science OER. 

Open Oregon Educational Resources 

  • Large textbook catalog with various subjects. Search by subject, license, update date, institution, publisher, or keyword.

Open Yale Courses ⭐

  • Lecture videos from Yale. There are a variety of courses, though many (as of Fall 2022) are 10+ years old. 

PDXScholar

  • Portland State University's "research, scholarship, and creative works" open access page. 

Wisc-Online 

  • Website with multiple interactive mini lessons and games, as well as an open image library. Some advertisements on the page. Focused on the community college level, but can be good for review and concept checking for students.
