OT 6101: Writing Reviews

Course Guide for OT 6101 - Intro to the OTD Program

What is a Systematic Review?

A systematic review is an appraisal and synthesis of primary research papers using rigorous and clearly documented methodology in both the search strategy and the selection of studies in order to minimize bias in the results. The clear documentation of the process and the decisions made allow the review to be reproduced and updated. -  Queensland University of Technology

And that means:

  • You are answering a research question
  • You will have a PICO/PIO
  • You will assess the validity and quality of the included studies
  • You will not attempt this alone!
