Welcome to the TWU Libraries' Nursing subject guide! Here you will find a variety of research, news, and information sources related to nursing.
Dr. Karen Lyon, Associate Dean and Dr. Brenda Binder, Associate Professor and MS Program Coordinator at the Texas Woman’s University Institute of Health Sciences-Houston Center, are TWU Principal investigator and co-PI on a four year, $3,258,796.00 project funded by the Federal government. This project is part of the Gulf Coast Consortium $24,955,904.00 project which, in concert with four nursing schools and Memorial Hermann Medical Center (Houston) has the potential to transform nursing education.
Come here to get information and updates on library news, as well as reports on technical issues and content changes regarding library resources. Please know that the TWU libraries post downtimes of data sources on the TWU library Facebook page. Federal Government shutdown may impact functionality of databases including AGRICOLA, ERIC, PubMed, and others until funding can be restored.
Updated daily, MEDLINE on OvidSP offers you seamless and up-to-the-minute access to the latest bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 5,500 biomedicine and life sciences journals in nearly 40 languages (60 languages for older journals). English abstracts are included in more than 80% of the records.
