Finding and Using Images
This guide will help you find and use images for personal and educational purposes. It's not a comprehensive list of image sources, but it is an introduction to websites that might be useful. If you're not sure whether you can legally use an image, ask permission from the copyright holder and/or consult a a copy right attorney.
In your References list, you'll want to include as much of the information below as you can:
The citation will typically look like this:
Artist last name, initial of first name. Date the image was created. Title. [Medium]. Museum, City. Web. Database name or title of site. |
Example: Oppenheim, M. (1936). Object. [Fur-covered cup, saucer, and spoon]. Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY. www.moma.org. |
In your Works Cited, you'll want to include as much of the information below as you can:
