PICO Questions

PICO is a method of writing a clinical research question. When writing a PICO question, identify the following:

P = patient, population, problem, or thing

I = intervention, issue of interest

C = comparison (optional)

O = outcome

Constructing your research question into the PICO format will help you focus your searching in databases like PubMed.
