On Monday 16 April 12, Bogie, a therapy dog with Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs of Houston visited TWU Houston. In our TWU Houston lobby, Irish Wolfhound Bogie and his owner/trainer Ms Susan Lipka, greeted more than 120 faculty, staff, and students plus a few visitors. All had the opportunity to learn about the purpose and value of therapy dogs in health care, including helping military veterans with PTSD, amputees, those with Alzheimer's disease, prisoners and others. The visit was co-sponsored by Houston's office of Student Life and the Academic Resource Center (Library).
Thanks for participating in so many special events your ARC has sponsored this year: Orientation underground Houston Medical Center tunnel tours, Pokémon Go, voter registration, therapy dogs . . . Keep active and visiting your ARC!
