Borrowing Materials

Checking Out Materials

  • Present a TWU ID, Courtesy Card, or TexShare card 
  • Assume full responsibility for item damage or loss
  • Keep items for at least a week (see "Check-Out Privileges" below for more information)

Courtesy Cards are available to:

  • UNT Students, Faculty, and Staff
  • Texas A&M Commerce Students, Faculty, and Staff
  • TexShare Patrons
  • TWU Alumni Association Members
  • Denton County Residents
  • Dallas County Residents

Children in the Library

Blagg-Huey Library encourages the early advancement of children through use of our Children's Collection materials and children's programming. Our policy on Children in the library provides a safe environment for children, while establishing a studious environment that allows our students to obtain the most of our resources.

Privacy Policy

The TWU Libraries value each individual’s privacy concerning use of library resources and actively seeks to preserve those rights. For detailed information on what kind of information is collected and how it is used, please review our Privacy Policy.

Noise Policy

The TWU Libraries are committed to providing an environment that is conducive to study as well as welcoming to all users. The 3rd Floor is designated as a quiet zone, and quiet study rooms are available for reservation. If the noise volume is too high, please contact one of the service desks on the first floor, inform a security guard, or email

Computing Policy

Use of the Blagg-Huey Library computers, devices and software must adhere to the Texas Woman's University Computer and Software Acceptable Use Policy.

Guest Computers

Visitors wanting to use TWU online resources:

  • There are guest computer stations available in the library. Please ask to use a guest station at the Information Desk. The librarian or student assistant on duty will log you in to the computer.
  • You may access TWU Library databases and the internet from a guest computer station.
  • We are unable to provide off campus access to our databases, electronic journals, and other subscription-based electronic resources to visitors, due to licensing restrictions.
